There is also the greatly increased risk of skin cancer. Use sunscreen daily and wear wide-brimmed hats, long-sleeved shirts and long pants to block the sun’s harmful rays.
3. During the winter, your face will dry out, especially the corners of your lips. If you see that your skin is cracking in this area, apply a small dose of Vaseline to cover the dry skin. This will help to inject moisture near your lips to prevent cracking and cutting on the surface.
4. A great way to get rid of unwanted blemishes is to use a well known vegetable. Cucumbers are actually great for helping clear up your skin. Just grate up a cucumber and rub in into your face, just like a face wash and you will feel refreshed and be blemish free, in no time.

5. Shingles is a left over version of the chicken pox. If you find that you are one of the many that suffer from shingles, remember that shingles is contagious and the areas should be covered and do not let anyone touch the affected areas. Stress or extreme illness can trigger shingles.
6. If you are looking for a great drink for soothing your skin, try green tea. This drink is packed with antioxidants, which can help to reduce the amount of free radicals in your body. Drink green tea and you will feel and look refreshed and energized throughout the day and night.
7. If you have sensitive skin, don’t use a harsh exfoliating scrub on your face. An exfoliating scrub that contains granules or beads is much too hard on sensitive skin. Prepare a gentle exfoliator that contains a natural ingredient such as oatmeal. Simply mix the oatmeal with a little water and apply to the skin for 20 minutes. After rinsing with warm water, your skin will be soft and have a radiant glow. People with sensitive skin should only exfoliate once a week.
8. To take care of your, skin it is important to protect it whenever in bright sunlight. By using sunscreen when outside in bright sun, you need to ensure that your skin is protected from UV rays. The increased protection will prevent problems, such as sunburn, to even more serious problems, such as skin cancer.
9. Take good care of your skin by drinking enough water. Your body is made up mostly of water, and your skin is no exception. It needs water to repair itself and to create new skin cells. The standard recommendation is to drink 6-8 glasses of water per day, but you may find you need to drink more or less to have plump, moist skin.
10. Sometimes, the skin in a baby’s diaper area can be the most difficult to care for. One easy tip to follow, is to give your baby’s bottom some air time every day. A baby’s skin is not able to breathe when kept in a diaper and the damp, dark environment, easily harbors bacteria.
11. An important tip about skin care for your baby is to remember that while it is important to give your baby a bath, be sure to only expose it to water for a few minutes at a time and to make sure that the water is not too hot. This is important because your baby has soft and delicate skin. Be sure to not rub your baby dry with a towel, instead gently pat it dry.
